Although primarily known for his nu-disco and house productions, Lovebirds is a seasoned hand at all things deep, and Icarus shows the smoky late-nite side of Basti's skilled production style.An all-original tune, Icarus layers jazzy vintage electric pianos over restrained but head-nodding percussion, with Galliano's soulful vocal soaring above it all. The ever consistent Tall Black Guy delivers a 90's-esque boom-bapper of a mix, with an added verse from 80's Babies for good measure. Moods works the track into a slo-mo stomper on his mix, complete with stuttering synth bass and driving percussion.
