RNT is turning 10 releases old with this special and varied EP from Michael the Lion. Known recently for his work on Soul Clap records, Michael flexes his edit skills on this one, flipping some funk on the A-side with "Any Time," and serving up classic Italo cheek with "The Don."The B-side erupts with the disco-house-bringer-downer "Get More" and finishes smooth with a fresh take on a well-worn sample with "909s and Herb," a co-production with Sammy Bananas, of Fool's Gold Record fame. This milestone record is a choice celebration of the quality that the RNT label has come to personify.

Originally released back in 2006 Destination Boogie has been one of ZR's most popular and respected compilations. In fact we recently reissued it on vinyl for the first time.There's a lot of crappy edits out there, we believe these Dr Packer reworks are very worthwhile, well constructed new versions that make the tracks more playable for today's dancefloors whilst retaining their boogie tastic musicality.Since the album was released the whole edit culture has exploded so we thought it would be a nice idea to get one of the best, Dr Packer, to rework four of the most danceable cuts from the album.

Brand new (and also the last one) treat in the The Very Polish Cut-Outs 7inch series, usually devoted to quirkier and weirder tracks than the much acclaimed 12" samplers.Eltron John kicks off the A side with a reggae influenced rework of a Polish children's song from late 80's called 'Ludzie z Marsa'. His modern, dubby production and close attention to the smallest details fuses perfectly with abstract lyrics. This serious-not-serious song treats about people who are from Mars and invade Earth, because 'they can't remember what the forest animals look like, what a farce !Already road tested by the members of TVPC, this Caribbean-East European depth of a groove works perfectly in late night drunk sets.On the B side Eddie C visits executive suite of a cruise ship with his extended, melancholic rework of 'Stoneczna Promenada'. The original tune is an old Polish cocktail-lounge classic from the late 70's, transformed here into a psychedelic story of epic proportions.Moody loops evoke instant headnodding and added dub effects magnify the nostalgic, sunny vibe.

They sure know how to find a perfect beat and re-edit it to perfection. From a basement studio in Hackney, East London comes PAYFONE's 2nd release on GOLF CHANNEL - QUARANTINE b/w PADRE, PRAY FOR US. Following on from 2014's extremely well received PARADISE heater, PAYFONE continue down a similar path for the A side QUARANTINE. Featuring once again 24 year old vocal powerhouse Louis Howard Jones, QUARANTINE is a semi auto biographical take on the hardships of a an underprivileged youth, set against a tough Phil Passera production that sounds more New York City 1984 than New Port County 2004 (Jones was born and raised in Cardiff). Cruising at 120 BPM, the dark funk guitar intro gives way to some heavy slap bass and deep synth that touches Michael Jackson's THRILLER before the direct and brutal vocals of Jones hit you right between the eyes.PADRE, PRAY FOR US is a bizarre Afro-Cuban inspired homage to Passera's Italian father Sergio ( who's telephone call can be heard on the songs intro). Featuring the lethal trumpet of former Cuban military private Eikel Venegas Hernandez, this instrumental takes you to the Pinata Party via downtown Lagos.
