London - based Axe On Wax starts its 2016 with a special package including 2 original tracks from Chicago's legends Boo Williams and Jordan Fields, backed up with remixes from Detroit's maestro Andres and Steve Murphy.The London based imprint is slowly building a reputation for putting out high quality House music, strictly groovy, strictly made for vinyl lovers. Label honcho Fede LNG has put together a list of producers and remixers that could easily get any club sold out: Iron Curtis, Liam Geddess, Stefano Esposito, Oli Furness, Chaos In The CBD just to name a few.The next instalment on the label is another four tracker on wax this time featuring true monster of unconditionally straight House Music: Chicagos' legend Boo Williams and Rawax and Underground Trax usual suspect Jordan Fields.On the remix duties we can also find Mahogani's own Andres and Italy's pride Steve Murphy.The latest AOW releases includes 4 tracks which are a miscellaneous of grooves, warm pads, rough drums forged to make damages on the dance floor. The A1 sees Chicago's House lord Boo Williams breaking the tempo and creates a delicate but magical atmosphere while remixing Andre's original: that baseline won't leave your mind easily…. On the remix duties Andres delivers pure love.The Motor City's producer mixes his ability with creating uplifting melodies and perfectly uses them onto a straight unstoppable rhythmical session.On the flipside Jordan Fields makes the listener loosing themselves with intricate loops driven by its relentless groove and always on point synth lines. Steve Murphy delivers a version which has his name written all over: raw in your face drums - stomping, elevating, low - fi. Originally recorded by Marc Moulin, Vincent Kenis and Marc Hollander in 1977 Brussels. Leapfrogging over style and genre boundaries, the LP shuffles between improvised jazz, minimalism, imaginary ethnic music, classical and even proto-techno (‘Saure Gurke’ foreshadows characteristic Detroit techno riffs by a good ten years). It became a cult album in its own right and a few decades later Parisian dj / producer Krikor spontaneously decided to rework two tracks for his dj-sets. ensemble brings his remixes with the kind permission of Crammed, Marc Hollander / Aksak Maboul and Krikor.

Birmingham, Alabama producer Byron the Aquarius (we know him for his collaboration with french producer Onra as The Big Payback) drops this debut 12" for Sound Signature!The A side is a warm key-driven cut with lush synths added. The flip comes in heavier and has live Drums by Dmitri Walker.
