The B-side sees Nebraska turning towards the housier side of things himself, with The blues as a perfect example of minimalistic house.Here, he uses only a small amount of elements to create an intoxicating and intense groove. Having taken its natural course over the past 18 months Peckham's YAM Records are making the move from retail to production. Continuing our celebration of local talent, both unsung and established, we aim to bring all styles of music together under the YAM Recordings wing.They’ve been a permanent and ever-­‐hilarious part of the shop since day one so it only seemed right that our first release should feature Chaos In The CBD. Distilling their sound over the past few years, Beans and Louis make the highest quality house music, which is perfectly demonstrated on this two-­‐track EP.'Global Erosion' sees long-­‐time collaborator Isaac Aesili contribute horn hooks and live percussion to this truly deep and emotional journey. On the flip, 'Background Explorer' turns up the heat with an 8-­‐minute heads-­‐down transcendental percussion and drum workout, the surging chords and rainforest calls forcing the head to follow the feet.

Few years before the international hit “Uptown Top Ranking”, made with his friend Donna, Althea Forrest recorded “Hey Mister” for famous producer (and singer) Derrick Harriott.Mid 1970's, Derrick Harriott is the best reggae-soul producer in Jamaica. He's made tons of US soul cover with Jamaican artists. “Hey Mister” was recorded at Federal studios (Tuff Gong nowadays) and didn't get an international audience, not even in Jamaica, probably because it was not a cover!For the first time since 1976, “Hey Mister” is now available on a Maxi vinyl 12'' to offer the best sound quality. Thanks to Derrick Harriott's master tapes and to the original artwork, now you can play this tune in the perfect condition.

Bruno “Patchworks” Hovart is one of the top producers of today’s groove music scene. After playing as a bassist and guitarist for various bands, he started producing in the mid-nineties and has kept on mixing today’s technologies with the raw spirits of House, Electronic, Disco, Funk, Soul, Reggae & Jazz music’s golden years since then.Following the trail of success left by his various projects as Patchworks, and under many aliases, he’s proved his musical ubiquity and unexpectedly stroke in various genres. Today, he’s back under the EDR Records’ umbrella, following up to his various EP for the label, and meanwhile pursuing a comeback to his early love for House music.Many House music diggers would indeed remember that before Favorite Recordings was launched in 2006, Patchworks and Pascal Rioux produced many deep-house tracks on the Rotax Disques imprint. Besides since the late 90s, Patchworks has also collaborated with labels such as Q-Tape, or Still Music, delivering many clubbing hits such as “Million Toes”, “Sugar”, or “Minautor”.On this 5 tracks EP, he delivers 4 killer tunes again, inspired by the Michael Jackson’s classic hit, “Rock With You”.
