The UK's favourite funk/soul brothers release their long awaited third album "What Comes To MInd" worldwide on the 25th Sept 2015. This one drops on their own independant record label Haggis Records and features a host of special guest artists including vocalists Lucinda Slim (Zap Mama), John McCallum (Corinne Bailey Rae band) and John Turrell (Smoove & Turrell) plus New mastersounds bass player Pete Shand and UK conga/percussion legend Snowboy.The Haggis Horns first hit the music scene in 1999 as both a band and brass section, the Horns making their first recorded appearance on The New Mastersounds debut album that year. Featuring some of the finest brass and rhythm section players in the UK, Haggis Horns musicians have played live and recorded with a host of major music artists including Mark Ronson, Corinne Bailey Rae, Lou Donaldson, Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen, Martha Reeves, Jamiroquai, John Legend & The Roots, The Cinematic Orchestra, Morcheeba, Roots Manuva, Finley Quaye and Nightmares On Wax.With five singles on UK independent label First Word Records plus two albums ("Hot Damn!" in 2007 and "Keep On Movin'" in 2010), they released their first title on their own Haggis Records in summer 2015, the aptly titled "Return Of The Haggis EP"."What Comes To Mind" is packed full of feelgood funk, soul and boogie that pays homage to the band's musical heroes of the 1970's - Kool & The Gang, Donald Byrd, The Blackbyrds, The Mizell Brothers & Earth Wind & Fire. Since the release of his first album in 2013, Lucas Arruda has quickly established himself as one of the most talented young artist and composer from Brazil. His music is filled with fusion style, mixing influences and elements from his Latin musical background, with his genuine admiration for Jazz, Soul and Funk music.In spring 2015, it was also not surprising to find Lucas Arruda back with a new LP called SOLAR, receiving great supports and feedbacks from international medias and tastemakers. One of the highlight of SOLAR was the track “Melt the Night”, on which Lucas asked legendary producer Leon Ware for his help, reminding his collaborations in the 80s with Marcos Valle, when they perfectly merged together the sophisticated Boogie and AOR touch from California, with the blazing sense of rhythm from Brazil.Willing to enlighten even more this timeless song, which could easily be produced in the early-mid 80s, Favorite Recordings decided to give it a brand new suit and found the perfect tailor with Nu-Funk raising producer, XL Middleton. Part of the modern-funk movement and based in Pasadena, XL has released volumes of work, the sound of which embodies the party feel, bringing music back to where it was before it found its way into upscale clubs, while at the same time mixing it with a futuristic brand of funk inspired by legends such as George Clinton, Roger Troutman, or Morris Day.The result is a stunning remix, bringing “Melt the Night” into a futuristic Boogie-Funk world with massive basslines and heavy beats!! In and out of prison since the age of 17, ZFF began producing on pirated software his brother gave to him once he had given up a life crime to focus on writing tunes and raising his family.First discovered by Kutmah back in the golden era of Myspace, Zackey's signature "Force Funk Sound" swiftly grabbed the attention of a number of formidable producers. Collaborations followed shortly after with the likes of Salva, Lazer Sword, Lorn, Baron Zen, Daedelus and B. Bravo, as well as forming the group Demon Queen with Tobacco. As these tunes were scattered across various labels, finding their homes on their respective collaborator's projects, ZFF continued to hone his style, delving deeper into the psychedelic future funk realm of which he has created for himself. The fruits of his discipline all add up to his forthcoming debut LP entitled 'Money Green Viper", to be released in July of 2014 on LA based collective Hit+Run.'Money Green Viper' plays as a scrapbook of late night joyrides, fast women, demonic visions, real rap rituals and the ever-present pursuit of infinite paper. All of these tales are woven over dust ridden, boogie and funk influenced beats with Zacky's beautifully haunting vocal stylings as our tour guide. Productions are laced from an appropriate cast of sound architects from across the globe, including Max Kane and Teeko, XL Middleton, Jellphonic, Cupp Cave, Tom Noble, Mike Gao, and of course ZFF himself. He has generally stayed of out the limelight until now. Having grown up on a diet of classic soul and Motown, his collaboration with Speedometer on this album brings together the band's heavy grooves with James' rich vocal tones to produce an authentically old school sound - yet totally fresh.You only have to listen to the album opener Don't Fool Yourself to immediately grasp that this young man's voice is the perfect choice to grace this new Speedometer collection. Likened to a young Donny Hathaway or Stevie Wonder, James has all the perquisite tone, phrasing and soul to make a big impact on a world awoken to genuinely soulful sounds by acts such as Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, but is also fully adept to adapt to the varying genres Speedometer specialise in - the latin/bossa nova groove of the title track No Turning Back, the deep, funky afrobeat of Troubled Land and the stomping Northern Soul style track Homebreaker.James Junior gives the band an extra dimension and purpose but more importantly gives James the spotlight which he deserves. London native Sven Atterton electrifies us with his debut eight song instrumental EP, 'The Cove'! This deep composition and delicate arrangements are a intimate introduction to a dialogue that is unique to Sven Atterson alone. The sophistication of his funk baptizes you from the very first bar, to the point where you can almost feel the ocean mist on your face.

PLAzA is the sound of Johan Churchill, a vintage drum machine and synthesizer freak, churning out a hybrid of playful acid house, boogie-funk, and italo, and often pairing it with a fine wine. Armed with the Oberheim DX drum machine, a 707, 202, Prophet 600, OB-8, Roland jx-Sp, and countless others, PLAzA corralled and manipulated this arsenal of electronic friends to create the Party Games EP in his home studio, The Voyeur's Loft, in San Francisco. The EP additionally features Moon B handling remix duties on the track "Night Lines", taking the track to an extra "nocturnal" location.

Royal Athlete's quest for the cosmos continues, with a brand new Various Artists EP from the depths of space. Four tracks of magical dance floor weapons via the Earth colonies of California, the UK and Berlin. Containing tracks from Voltaire / Omega Supreme mainstay and frequent Egyptian Lover collaborator Brian Ellis, Bout You's funk is so potent you could smoke it. Mat/Matix's Speeding Lane takes you to 5pm, with a groove so smooth, you'll think it's bathed in oil. Rick Wreck presents a heartfelt funk gem with Dance Again, for the lovers, across the universe. Finally Royal Athlete's own Vexkiddy serves up a spaced out, G'd up cosmofantabulous afterhours banger with Strange Attractors.

The people involved in this EP are: Chris de Multifunkshun a virtuoso multi instrumentalist, who counts the double bass and piano as his main loves, the female vocals come by the hand of the Amazing twins Amandine and Melody, The Modet Sisters all put together by the incredible producer Thomas Blanchot better known as Mato, who counts on his credits his album of Dub version of Daft Punk’s Homework which was released on June this year. Artists that have shown appreciation for Everywhere include Soul Clap, Tanner Ross, In Flagranti and Trevor Jackson just to name a few.
