Off Track Volume Two: Queens

To celebrate 20 years of Barely Breaking even, they have been hard at work re-stocking a few of their most sought-after back catalogue gems. The second volume in Kon & Amir's famed 'Off Track' series, this 2008 collection of obscure classics was dedicated to the New York borough of Queens.

The duo's fanatical love of music and inexhaustible appetite for the next sound puts them in a perfect position to select three disc's worth of magical soul, funk and Afro-beat, spanning three decades from the 60's through to the '80s. This eclectic and wonderful compilation sees Kon taking us on a magical disco mystery tour, peppering his mix with his customary re-edits. Amir takes us on an African safari, his mix evoking the sounds and smells of this beautiful continent.
